    Labour Crime Stats

So over the last 12 years or so crime has decreased under Labour ..... now I'm not saying I'm good at stats or maths ...... but how does that stat work if we have more people in prison than ever before?

Doubt it shop-lifting has been decriminalized so that knocks 10,000's of offences off the stats

Sounds like a clever manipulation in figures...

From my days as a Social Scientist I remember the crime figures vary very little from year to year.

The only variation is in the fashion that dictates what crimes are to be emphasised.

They always concentrate of the crimes of poor people, and always ignore the crimes of the wealthy and powerful.

Will Bush, Cheney and Blair wind up at the Hague? - I doubt it.

Will Geitner, Bernanke etc be seen as anything other than over-extending businessmen - I bet you the value of the bailout they will not.

And if they do Cherie Blair will be there to defend them - a case like that would warrant a bit more legal aid than defending the odd failed asylum seeker or Muslim extremist
